
CPRS Physical Therapy Occupational Therapists are licensed healthcare professionals who are graduates from an accredited Occupational Therapy program and are licensed and registered to practice Occupational Therapy. Occupational Therapist’s primary focus is to restore useful physical function following disabling injuries or illness of upper extremity orthopedic and neurological conditions such as:
- Hand injuries
- Fractures
- Sprains and strains
- Tendon/ nerve injuries
- Arthritic conditions
- Tendonitis and bursitis
- Strokes
The goal of Occupational Therapy is to assist the patient in achieving the maximal level of independent function. Our Occupational Therapy treatment programs are designed to ensure that our patients receive the most advanced treatment possible. Treatment programs are customized based on each patient's needs. Occupational Therapy programs may include:
- Dynamic and static splinting
- Customized Sports specific splinting
- Wound care and scar management
- Sensory reeducation and desensitization
- Joint, soft tissue and neural mobilization
- Range of motion, dexterity and strength training
- Functional capacity and ergonomic assessments
