Treatments and procedures for cancer many contribute to side effects immediately or long after treatments have finished. Cancer survivors can benefit from rehabilitation before, during, or after treatment to improve various deficits including the following: 

  • Restricted range of motion or mobility after surgery
  • Difficulty with balance or walking
  • Fatigue
  • Weakness 
  • Pain
  • Incontinence
  • Difficulty with activities of daily living, self care, leisure activities
  • Difficulty with swallowing
  • Pelvic pain
  • Difficulty with speech or cognitive skills
  • Lymphedema / swelling
  • Prevention and monitoring of treatment side effects
